The role

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is comfortable across the full lifecycle of web development: frontend, backend and the infrastructure that applications run on.

This is genuinely full stack. You'll move between user interfaces, application logic, APIs, databases, integrations, deployments and production environments as the work requires. You don't need equal depth in every discipline, but you should be comfortable understanding and working across the complete system rather than stopping at the application boundary.

Our current stack includes PHP and Laravel, Vue 3, TypeScript, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Vite, Inertia, WordPress, relational databases, Linux, cloud platforms, Cloudflare, CI/CD and supporting services.

You'll work closely with our Frontend, Backend and Infrastructure & Platform Engineers, as well as Account Management. You'll also liaise directly with clients where useful to understand problems end-to-end and turn that understanding into practical solutions.

• Integrations with third-party systems.
• Improving established applications.
• Contributing to architecture and technical decisions across the lifecycle.

What we're looking for

You'll already have commercial experience building and running production web applications across more than one part of the stack.

You don't need to be equally specialised in frontend, backend and infrastructure, but you should be comfortable moving across all three and understanding how the whole system fits together.

Experience with PHP/Laravel and Vue/TypeScript would be particularly relevant. Experience with Linux, cloud hosting, Docker, CI/CD, Cloudflare or similar operational tooling would also be useful.

We want someone who thinks about the complete outcome rather than an individual layer. Security, testing, performance, usability, reliability, deployment and maintainability all matter. You'll be methodical in how you work across layers, meticulous about the details that connect them, curious enough to investigate beyond the obvious symptom, and entrepreneurial in identifying opportunities to make the product and the way we operate it better.

We want engineers to own outcomes, not just tasks. That includes understanding how software gets from development into production and how it behaves once it's there.

This is a Software Engineer role rather than a junior or senior appointment. We're looking for someone who can independently deliver well-understood work across the stack while continuing to deepen their judgement and capability across frontend, backend and infrastructure.

The salary range for this role is £40,000-£45,000.
