About Us

About Us

We have the experience and expertise to deliver complex digital solutions. We partner with organisations to help define projects that drive growth. As a full-service agency, we're committed from the very outset and ensure the long-term success of each project. Whatever it takes.

Our processes ensure that we deliver consistent, forward-thinking services. Our long-standing partnerships with our clients are a testament to that. At the end of the day being good is something that processes can’t make up for, and we are good. Our commitment goes way beyond the scope of any brief. We're here for the journey, not just the destination.

Geographical distance is no obstacle to us. Our project management processes and ‘get it done’ attitude ensure that we are responsive and helpful as a team, pulling our weight and working to dependencies. We're just as comfortable working as part of a larger project team or directly with startups.

Working with us means gaining a partner. We tailor support agreements, making our collaboration feel as integrated as if we were part of your in-house team. This dedicated, proactive approach is a cornerstone of the lasting relationships we're proud to maintain with our clients.

Tim Carr

FOUNDER

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

I have been running the show for the past 25 years! I handle a broad spectrum of strategy, brand management, graphic design, sales, and communication, all this can be neatly summarised as direction. My favourite part of the job is planning out new projects, meeting clients and getting ideas together for new work. Sometimes I get busy on the micro and have to consciously zoom out for a bit of perspective. I think having a sense of perspective is a most underrated superpower.

Ryan Griffiths

Technical Director

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

My days at 3ev are action-packed. I'm the person who specifies how we approach our projects and tasks. I am usually found writing out specifications or discussing how deliver a smart and efficient solution with a member of the team. I’m not afraid to get involved in the detail but I wouldn’t want to label myself a stickler. I do tend to go the extra 10k to get projects over the line (that’s a running reference, not the amount I charge finish a project!).

Fave activities outside work?

Music activities of all the sorts. Running (when I’m not injured [which is most of the time]). Going to cinema as much as possible. Baths.

What’s your superpower (real or imagined)

Managing to stay sane with Tim as my boss.

Ramen isn’t bad, is it?

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Write one song.

Ollie Pelling

Making use of my National Trust membership and playing video games (with or without the kids).

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Chris Keller

Senior Developer

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

Tough one, where to start? At some point I've worked on all 3ev projects. I'm in charge of our infrastructure at 3ev as well as being the senior full stack dev. I have to know our major projects inside out. When I'm not devving, I'm reviewing other devs' code and keeping the 3ev show on the road.

Fave activities outside work?

Sitting on rocks, handstands, bass guitar, hiking, Elden ring, steam rooms, and enjoying a nice glass of Malbec every now and again!

What’s your superpower (real or imagined)

Single arm pull-ups, while debugging code.

Favourite food?

Gotta be a Rib Eye, but if I'm feeling exotic it'll be a lamb tagine, both go well with Malbec!

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

You gotta treat yourself, haven't you?

Dean Hayden

DESIGN CHIEF

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

Making things look good, solving problems for people.

Setting expectations.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best way to attract good work is by doing good work.

Radu Banu

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

I'm a frontend developer that dabbles in backend. I also make things look pretty.

Fave activities outside work?

Family time, playing guitar and snowboarding.

What’s your superpower (real or imagined)

I can be nice to everyone.

Favourite food?

Triple cooked skinny fries.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Ethan Webster

FULL-STACK DEVELOPER

What’s your job at 3ev and what does it entail?

As a full stack developer at 3ev I do a variety of tasks ranging from carrying out support requests to developing new features for our existing websites. No task too big or small, I'm a problem solver and will obsess over something until it's complete. I like to see myself as the go-to guy for testing as my expertise is breaking stuff (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not!)

Fave activities outside work?

I like to engage in the fun and stressful hobby of fixing my own car, it's quite a mindful act until something goes wrong then I feel like a gorilla trying to play with barbies. When I'm not doing that I'm either taking the dog for walks along the beautiful South Wales coastal path, or binging mindless shows on Netflix.

What’s your superpower (real or imagined)

My superpower is that I can clap with one hand, it makes my baby laugh but I do look like a right weirdo when I do it. The plus side is I can give myself a round of applause for two people.

Favourite food?

Lasagne. I live and breathe lasagne. I'm not sure if that's because it's the only meal I can cook, but I do have a top-ten-places-that-do-lasagnes list.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

It's illegal to lick doorknobs on other planets. Never once have I done it, and I don't plan on doing so in the future.
