In our workshop, we have a wood burner, excellent coffee, a powerful sound system and a big table.
Managing Director, Founder
Tim has worked in the web industry since 1995 for clients including the FT and The Economist before founding 3rd Eye Vision in summer 1998. To you, Simon is the guy next door, being in charge of support means that this is part of his job. Having been working with us for over 10 years, Simon knows almost everything there is to know about projects past and present – and if he doesn’t, he knows a man who does. With a penchant for venison pies and Côte du Rhone, Simon knows what’s good for him.
Ollie joined us in 2017 with the task of getting all of our projects in order. Within a day he had managed to get a grasp on both clients and staff! A very hands- on PM Ollie is responsible for scheduling, and liaising with clients. With experience spanning nearly a decade, Ollie has proved capable of taking on complex web projects from inception to production ready. Ollie’s passion is ensuring we always deliver joyous customer experiences across all our projects.
Ryan joined us in 2013 and has become a front-end whizz. He has worked on all our major developments over the past six years, sharing his expertise and knowledge with the rest of the team. Ryan is a stickler for high-quality code and has a keen eye for detail. Ryan is an avid music enthusiast, having previously worked in a record shop and toured the world with his band. He also ensures that the office Spotify is kept in good order.
Sys Admin /Server Manager
Chris is a man of many skills. As a prolific developer, Chris has worked with many of our more complex projects over the past 2 years. Whether flexing his skills with Salesforce, or managing more complex Magento implementations, Chris is always dependable. Since joining in 2017 Chris has improved our entire hosting set up and continues to be in charge of running our various cloud services. Chris is living proof that it’s cool to be a geek without being a nerd.
Coming fresh from programming telecoms systems in Bristol, Chris is a man who knows his SIP trunks from his swimming trunks, which is a good thing. Chris joined us in summer 2018, and has quickly proved himself as a tour de force in all things Laravel. When not neck-deep in code, he has a keen interest in whiskey and can be found in one of Brighton’s many establishments conducting research.
Aaron deals with a lot. Not only does he ensure that support issues are dealt with professionally and in a timely fashion, he also works across projects. Since joining us in 2017, Aaron has grown into his role and his experience since joining is now invaluable. Aaron is very adaptable and is able to work across many of our clients without getting his feathers ruffled. Oh, did I mention that he is a keen aviculturist?
Luke is a more recent hire, joining us in summer 2019. He came from managing a team at a defence business where he rose through the ranks from being a developer to being a manager. As can often be the way, when you get into managing a team, you can get an urge to return to developing yourself. That’s what happened to Luke. Happy in his new environment, Luke has already proved himself by getting involved in some of our more complex projects. When not at work Luke likes to manage the tradespeople who work on his house.
Simon joined us in 2019 as a developer. An early-starter, he has spent a lot of his time with us working on a particularly complex project as a part of the development team. Simon is partial to Nik-Naks, the snack, not the ornamental trinkets, well… he might be, its just that we don’t know that side of him, yet.
Hay, we’re always on the look out for another, and if you think you’ve got what it takes to work here get in touch!
