Overview
Consolidated Communications is an independent PR company, working across all sectors and handling consumer and corporate PR, public affairs and sponsorship. Providing their clients with a range of bespoke consultancy, planning and traditional media management services, Consolidated have handled some of the biggest consumer brands around. Their Business Communications team has a strong client list including major business organisations and Government departments. But most importantly of all, Consolidated have a great culture and an inspiring work ethic.
Challenge
Following the launch of their new brand identity, Consolidated recognised the need to bring their website offering in-line with existing communication tools. Our brief was to rationalise the public-facing website, making the navigation more intuitive and easing the user-journey so that the experience of the Consolidated brand was more consistent. The website was to become more than a static piece of brochureware; regular blog updates and a continous flow of new case studies would ensure that the site always remained fresh. A new look and feel enhanced by a subtle use of Flash would create an engaging experience for site visitors.
Solution
As a response to the brief, we designed and developed an online presence that made a bold brand statement for the new Consolidated identity. By restructuring the content and making the home page work harder, we were able to communicate the client's unique culture at the outset, and drive traffic to core areas of dynamic content. With an innovative use of TYPO3, we empowered departments within Consolidated to publish their own news items and case studies. The end solution is a visually rich and inventive site that is being constantly refreshed.
